    • "Overall the Passat is an outstanding vehicle. I purchased it mainly for fuel economy. The information center reports I am achieving 40-42 mpg overall, however when I calculate the mileage using actual miles driven and actual fuel consumption it runs about 3-5 mpg less than the car computer calculates, or about 35-40 mpg. The performance, handling and overall ride are superb. Plenty of legroom front and back, and a spacious trunk. Biggest disappointment is the navigation system. It does not reflect many Houston roads that have been in existence for many years before I purchased the car. Plus the display looks antiquated. My smart phone's Google Maps app runs circles around the VW nav system - VW really mailed that one in. All in all though, great vehicle."
