1965 was the finest year for the Pontiac Grand Prix. In fact Motor Trend was so impressed with the Pontiac in 65 they
named the entire line as their CAR OF THE YEAR. From GTO as the pony car all the way to the GP, DeLorean was hitting
all the marks. The Grand Prix could be ordered as a full luxury land yacht with every add-on imagineable or you could
strip down the extra weight and add a Muncie 4speed with a HURST competition plus shifter and you could say that GTO had
a big-brother that could churn the tread right off the tires. The sound of that transmission along with the roar of the
exhaust couldn,t help but to draw attenion and the awe of any pedestrians. While I don't know for sure as I never saw
any, I't didnt come with back doors. This was a PERSONAL luxury car. If you want more doors buy a station wagon or
something. This was a Man's hot rod. All of the thrills of a GTO but with the girth and luxury that pampered the driver
but could still break traction in 3 gears!!!
