Question: How do I get clutch pressure so I can bleed the clutch after slave changed

I changed my slave cylinder before I changed it my clutch had somwhat compression if I push the clutch in it would engage but it would slowly lose compression and stick to the floor. now that I changed it I went to bleed it and I push the pedal down and it just slams to the floor and sticks trying to figure out how to gets how to get it to release so I can bleed it
