Question: BMW air conditioning problem.

Last Wednesday I drove my 328i around for about eight hours with my AC working fine & very cold. I parked the car overnight for two days & came back out to it the following Friday with nothing but hot air blowing. My control panel on the dash seems to be functioning ok & all of the AC fuses appear to be good although the compressor does not engage. I have had no previous problems with the AC before. Has anyone seen this problem before or have any ideas as to what might be wrong here? Thanks for any help on this, Eddie

A stone punctured the condenser. Had to be replaced at a cost of $1200.
